There are many On Line Chat Sites where you can find people to discuss 12 step Recovery Topics and Self-Help/Improvement ideas. Unfortunately most of these on-line rooms are at the mercy of ill-minded people who find it entertaining to bother people in these rooms with their explicit language and off-topic conversation.

AOL Chat rooms are notorious for this type of environment, however, AOL members appear to enjoy the largest On-Line Chat community. If you are an AOL subscriber, you can find these rooms by the "FRIENDS OF BILL W." tag. We find that FILTERING out the bad voices is the best way to put these rooms to good use.

RecoveryWorld did have a chat room available on our MSN extension site but MSN has decided to close all group chat rooms as of October, 2006. We are looking for alternative options for our visitors but have yet to settle on a service. Stay tuned!
